About Georgia College Guide

An independent, data-first guide to every college in Georgia.

Georgia College Guide exists because choosing a college in Georgia is a high-stakes financial decision made mostly on marketing. Institutions publish their own numbers selectively. Ranking sites sell placement. Families are left comparing brochures.

This site does something narrower and more useful: it takes the federal dataset that every institution is legally required to report into, and presents it clearly for all 124 colleges operating in Georgia.

What we are not

We are not a college. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any college, university, college system, or government agency. We do not process applications, issue transcripts, confer credentials, or verify anyone's enrollment or degree. If you reached this site looking for an institution's admissions office, use the official website link on that school's profile page.

How we stay independent

  • No paid placement. No school can buy a ranking position, a profile upgrade, or removal of unflattering data. Rankings are computed from federal data by published formulas.
  • Stated methodology. Every ranking page states its inclusion rule and sort key before the table.
  • No invented numbers. Where a school does not report a figure, we leave it blank rather than estimating. Gaps are visible on purpose.
  • Disclosed monetization. We run advertising and some partner links. Those never influence rankings or editorial content. See our disclosure page.

Corrections

If a figure here is wrong, we want to fix it. Data issues usually trace to the federal source, but reporting errors and stale records happen. Contact us with the school and the specific field and we will verify it against the current Scorecard release.
